- DAKHLA REPORT - IKITESURFMAG ISSUE 20 -




I Kitesurfmag is a on-line kite magazine from United Kingdom.
I take advantage of this complete report on Dakhla to present you this particular mag.
Create in 2006 by the brothers Rou and Alex Chate, they propose us a free on-line magazine which is published every 2 months in more than 132 countries.
Diversified and very complete, Ikitesurfmag includes technical articles, reports and interviews of the 4 corners of the globe, the news but also the videos explaining the last innovations and tests of equipments.
All this by using the technology of the flash to optimize the resolution and the quality of presentation.

- 6 DAYS IN ONE FOR THE SECOND STAGE OF THE PKRA -


Everything is in the title, Mauricio Toscano which is the organizer of the PKRA thanks Aeolus for having one single day of wind.
Windguru, Windfinder, winds up ect .. have never been much visited in recent days, but this last sunny sunday contradicted all the forecasts. The tramontane is establishes all day allowing to close the simple elimination.
For my first heat of the year, I fall against the current 3rd world Karolina Winkowska.
First sensations and not the slightest, I try my best but Karolina is ahead of schedule and wins definitively, by landing the blind judge* which I have just missed in front of my eyes.

A whole week took place without that the wind exceeds 12 average knots necessary to start the double elimination. I haven't had the possibility of going back up the board. The final result: a 5th place(square) on this second stage.
Anyway, this return to international competition after one year of stop is more than motivating, I look forward to catching up this technical delay, to take more pleasure, increase the adrenalin and the stakes.
For everybody those who want more details of the competition, the team of 01 kitesurf were on the event and commented in live the stage. Next stop to Cabarete in Dominican Republic.

For the third consecutive year, the stage of the PKRA World Cup will take place at Franqui near Port Leucate in the event: "Mondial du Vent".
This is also an opportunity for me to return for the first time on the world tour since i hurt my knee.
We will be a majority of the French Team (Flo Daubos Seb Garat, Charlotte Consorti, Adrian Caro ...) on this event with the chance to be followed by our coach Loic Soufflet and our physio Eleanor Sarret ..

I'm back from the dream paradisiac! Well, almost ... still a little world in this unusual ...

The definition of what characterizes the values of a sublime journey:

Start by choosing a destination of preference unknown and unimagined in our consciousness as an Indian Archipelago.

Avoid an organized tour, but at the same time without depriving yourself of a few of the pleasures....



Prefer a boat, why not a catamaran,which will come closer to appreciate more the fauna and flora.

To minimize the possible diseases Sea, pass through Bangkok for a good night's sleep, they have beautiful hotels nearby the airport and the center clearly deserves a site visit by its scenery.
